1996 Jaguar LWB X330
This is our Modern Classic the 1996 Jaguar Sovereign LWB (long wheel base).
Also known as the X330 the colour is metallic gold with cream leather trim and walnut cappings. The car has a 3.2 straight six engine and being a LWB it is spacious in the back with big doors for ease access. This car will seat four passengers plus the driver and is fitted with seat belts so we can accommodate children under 3 if required (as this is not possible in our other cars due to no seat belts). These cars are a popular choice by government officials.
Want to know more about Jaguar ? The name bespeaks class, prestigeand exclusivity. Oringinally founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922 the SS Jaguar name first appeared on a 2.5 litre saloon in 1935. The Jaguar name was given to the entire company in 1945 when the SS was dropped due to lack of popularity from WWII. The distinctive "leaping Jaguar" mascot Jaguar made its name in the 1950s with a series of elegantly-styled sports cars and luxury saloons.
In 1951 the company leased what would quickly become its principal plant from the Daimler Motor Company, and in 1960 purchased Daimler from its parent company. Jaguar was floated on the stock market in 1984 and in 1999 it became part of Ford's new Premier Automotive Group along with Aston Martin, Volvo Cars and, from 2000, Land Rover and Aston Martin. The current owner of Jaguar is Tata after Ford sold Jaguar in June 2008 at a cost of £1.7 billion.
