This particular vehicle has been fully restored by ourselves to as original condition as possible.
The car is out most popular car. Elegant, with fine stately styling, she will seat four adults including the driver. Very comfortable half leather sports seats with mulbery red piping.
The 16.2HP prize winning saloon has an extremely rare body by coach builder Mulliner. It is capable of 0-73 mph in top gear which Daimler refer to as ‘smooth as flight’. The car also has Daimler's fluid flyweel .
Only 1,100 Daimler Fifteens where ever made, only a very few of these were the sportsmodel which survive today in such pristine condition.
Want to know more about Daimler ? The name comes from Gottlieb Daimler, one of the first people to design engines specially for motor vehicles. Although he died in 1900 an English man took the patent rights and created a company in 1893 called The Daimler Motor Syndicate Ltd. In 1896 the first British Motor company, The Daimler Motor Company Ltd was formed.
One of their great inventions was the fluid flywheel which allows the car to change gear without a clutch and allows it to travel a very slow speeds. They were also the first company to realise the portential of the car radio. In 1962 the name was sold to Jaguar who used the name on the prestige models of their cars. The last model with the name was the Daimler Century produced in 1996.
